TwistedBrush User Guide

Using the Layer Panel

Inside the Layer Panel, you can change the stacking order of layers by moving them up or down. You can add new layers, duplicate layers, and delete layers. You can even change the look of layers by altering their opacity. What's more, you can modify the Mix Mode in more than 35 ways--like switching texture, lightening, darkening, adding a screen, adding layer masks, and using a variety of alpha options.

Accessing The Layer Panel

You can bring up the Layer Panel by clicking the black arrow that sits to the immediate left of the Background Layer, through the Layer Mini Bars, or you can select the menu Layers > Layers

Whichever opening method you use, the Layer Panel will appear. It looks like this:

When you use several layers to create a sketch or painting, the Layer Panel can look like this:

Naming Layers In The Layer Panel

As shown below, you can name your layers for easy reference by clicking the layer level inside the Layer Panel. The layer level will darken, indicating that this is the layer you are concentrating on. At that point, type a name for that layer level in the name box. Voila! The name will appear on the appropriate layer.
