A drawing tablet is a computer-input device that lets you use one hand to draw, typically with a stylus or pen instead of a standard mouse.
Using a drawing tablet and stylus, is sometimes better than just using a standard mouse. The modern stylus has the ability to detect the pressure, tilt, and many more attributes just by the "feel" between the stylus and tablet.
After connecting your drawing tablet, you will see check boxes below the size, density, and opacity sliders. When these boxes are checked, your stylus will respond to your specific touch.
A few options for tablets can be found in the menu Edit > Preferences.
Here, you are able to enable and disable your tablet, as well as turn the compatibility mode on and off.
Users can typically set their drawing tablet to absolute mode or relative mode. Absolute mode uses the drawing tablet to correspond the position on the screen to the exact position on the tablet. Relative mode is similar to using a standard mouse typically for high-speed pointing.
You don't need a drawing tablet and stylus to use TwistedBrush. Many program owners use a standard mouse. All versions of TwistedBrush let mouse users manually adjust settings that a stylus lets them use.
