Esc Cancel the current brush stroke. Handy for very complex brushes when a long stroke has been queued up.
Ctrl

Pressing [Ctrl] when selecting a preset results in an attempt to merge the preset effects with the current effects. Useful with the Shapes Artsets.

Pressing [Ctrl] when drawing a rectangle, rectangle mask, or cropping lets you move the shapes position.

Pressing [Ctrl] when drawing an ellipse or ellipse mask lets you  move the shapes position.

Pressing [Ctrl] and clicking on the canvas makes that page the clone source and also sets the clicked location as the starting position for cloning of each stroke. Each cloning stroke will restart cloning from this location. This only works when a cloning brush is selected.

Pressing [Ctrl] and clicking on the canvas will capture the image from the current layer for an image brush. This only works when an Image Brush is selected.

Pressing [Ctrl] and clicking on the canvas selects the color from the current layer.

Pressing [Ctrl] while drawing a stroke will move the strokes origin. This is useful for brushes in the Collections - Lines and Outlines ArtSet.

Pressing [Ctrl] and right clicking on a color palette will mark the starting point for a span. Pressing [Ctrl] and right clicking on a color palette a second time will edit the palette creating a color span horizontally from the first palette entry clicked to the second.

Shift

Pressing [Shift] when clicking on the size, density, or opacity sliders results in a one-unit adjustment. 

Pressing [Shift] when clicking on a shortcut updates that shortcut with the current brush.

Pressing [Shift] when left clicking on the paper area draws a straight line from the last drawn position.

Pressing [Shift] when drawing a rectangle, rectangle mask, or cropping constrains to a square.

Pressing [Shift] when drawing an ellipse or ellipse mask constrains to a circle.

Pressing [Shift] and clicking on the canvas captures the image from the scratch layer for an image brush. This only works when an Image Brush is selected.

Pressing [Shift] and clicking on the canvas selects the color from the scratch layer.

Pressing [Shift] with the Flood Fill tool and dragging the mouse right and left will do fine adjustments to the fill tolerance.

Pressing [Shift] with the Mask Wand tool and dragging the mouse right and left will do fine adjustments to the fill tolerance.

Alt

Pressing [Alt] when drawing a rectangle, rectangle mask, or cropping centers the rectangle.

Pressing [Alt] when drawing an ellipse or ellipse mask centers the ellipse.

Pressing [Alt] and clicking on the canvas will make that page the clone source and also set the clicked location as the starting position for cloning.  This only works when a cloning brush is selected.

Pressing [Alt] and clicking on the canvas will capture the image from the merged layers for an image brush. This only works when an Image Brush is selected.

Pressing [Alt] and clicking on the canvas selects the color from the merged layers.

Alt + Shift
Pressing [Alt + Shift] and clicking on the canvas captures the image of the entire page from the merged layers for an image brush. This only works when an Image Brush is selected.
Ctrl + Alt

Pressing [Ctrl + Atl] and clicking on the canvas captures the image from the trace layer for an image brush. This only works when an Image Brush is selected.

Pressing [Ctrl + Alt] and clicking on the canvas makes that page the clone source and also sets the clicked location as the fixed position for cloning. This only works when a cloning brush is selected.

Pressing [Ctrl + Altl] and clicking on the canvas selects the color from the trace layer.
