Individual layers can be made invisible in TwistedBrush for a variety of reasons. Maybe you want to see what the painting looks like with the content of one layer removed from the picture. Maybe you want to revisit a lower layer in the stacking order to tweak it. To do so, though, you need to see what is beneath the image on an upper layer. Or you may want to temporarily hide one or more layers while you filter a different layer.
Whatever your purpose, you can hide the layer one of these ways.
1. In the Layer Mini Bar, left-click an active layer slot that you want to make invisible. The slot will turn grey and it will contain a closed eye.
2. In the Layer Mini Bar, right-click a layer slot that you want to make invisible. From the popup menu select Hide Layer.
3. In the Layer Panel, click the open eye on the layer that you wish to hide. The eye will close and the layer will be invisible.
Note: When a layer is made invisible, it is hidden in the sense that you don’t see its content in the workspace. The invisible layer is still present in your sketchbook because it hasn’t been deleted.
You can make the layer visible again with the Layer Mini Bar or the Layer Panel.
Examples
Below, you can see the upper layer in its active stage and you can see what the workspace shows when the same layer is made invisible.
