General
- Many controls in the tool panel have extra options that are available when you right-click them.
- Pressing the ESC key will abort a stroke early. This is useful if you have a very complex brush and it's taking too long to draw.

Pages
- Use the arrow keys to quickly navigate between pages and books. Use left and right for pages in the current book and Up and Down for books.
- Ctrl-C quickly copies the image data on your current layer. When combined with keyboard shortcuts that switch pages and Ctrl-V to paste image data, your work spreads quickly and easily across multiple pages.

Brushes
- Holding Shift and clicking on a brush shortcut will make a copy of the current brush to that shortcut.
- Most brushes with the word Pattern in the name are designed to be used with any of the patterns that can be selected with the Color brush modifier.
- You can normally change the size of the pattern in pattern brushes by using the density slider.
- Most brushes with the word Shape in the name are designed to be used with any of the shapes that can be selected with the Shape brush modifier.
- To copy a brush between banks within the shortcuts panel, use the menu File > Export Brush Code and File > Import Brush Code feature. In other words, copy and paste the brush codes. When you do this, the icon won't be copied.

Reference Image
- Right-clicking in a reference image zooms it to actual size. Right-clicking it a second time returns it to normal.
- You can have multiple reference images active at any one time--up to a maximum of 16.
- Selecting multiple thumbnails in the Page Explorer and then selecting the menu Page > Set as Reference image creates a reference image for each selected thumbnail.
- Resizing a reference image window increases the size of the image when zoomed out and shows more of the image when zoomed in.
