Currently TwistedBrush is offered in three different configurations to meet a variety of price and feature needs.
TwistedBrush Pro Studio is the full standard edition and includes every feature and every brush. It has all of the advanced features such as layers, masks, and cloning. Because of the additional features supported in this edition of TwistedBrush, there are more user-interface elements to contend with. This version is ideal for the digital artist who wants every possible tool at his or her disposal.
TwistedBrush Essentials is a reduced-feature set edition of the standard edition of TwistedBrush and, therefore, its price is also reduced. Advanced features such as layers, masks, and cloning are not present. What is present, though, is a fine sampling of the best brushes in TwistedBrush. The brushes are broken down into natural media art brushes and wild advanced brushes. In addition, all of the image processing filters are present. An advantage of the Essentials and Free Editions of TwistedBrush over the standard version is the ability to run well on the Ultra Mobile PC platform (UMPC). Because of the reduced-feature set, the number of user interface elements are reduced, which lets these versions of TwistedBrush run well on the lower resolutions of the UMPC platform--all the way down to 800x480. If you're an artist who mostly just wants to draw and paint with the best brushes around, but without advanced digital art tools, then this edition may be right for you.
TwistedBrush Free Edition is similar to TwistedBrush Essentials, but with fewer features and brushes. Available for free, it offers a small collection of great brushes that allow complete works of art to be created and saved--all of which are yours to keep and share as you wish. The Free Edition is based on the same core engine that drives the other editions and gets updates just like the other editions get updates. If you are someone with very limited funds, then this edition of TwistedBrush may be what you need.
